STATESBORO, Ga. - After rushing for a season-high 137 yards and two
touchdowns in a 17-9 win over #4/5 Wofford, Dominique Swope was named Offensive Player of the Week by the Southern Conference office Monday.
Swope carried the ball 25 times and scored Georgia Southern's only two
touchdowns while rushing for over 100 yards for the eighth time in his
career. The sophomore B-Back also extended his rushing touchdown
streak to seven-straight games.
The Eagles, who moved up to #3 in the latest FCS Coaches Poll, travels
to Furman Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
