Four Georgia Southern players honord

STATESBORO, Ga. - Four members of Georgia Southern's 2012 Southern Conference championship squad were named All-Americans.

Brent Russell and Garrett Frye were selected to the Sports
Network/Fathead.com FCS All-America Team, while Dorian Byrd and Dion DuBose were selected to the College Sports Madness FCS All-American Team.

Russell repeated as a First Team selection by the Sports Network and is now a three-year All-American. The senior defensive tackle has 39 stops, 7.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 12 starts this season and is currently tied for the school's career sacks record.

Fellow defensive lineman, Dion DuBose was selected to his first
All-American Team by College Sports Madness. DuBose, a Third Team selection, is second on the team with 9.0 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

Helping clear the way on the offensive side of the ball, offensive
linemen Dorian Byrd and Garrett Frye were Third Team selections by
College Sports Madness and the Sports Network, respectively. The duo has helped the Eagles' offense lead the nation in rushing offense, which ranks second all-time in school history with 409.2 yards per game.
