STATESBORO, Ga. - Allen E Paulson Stadium is undergoing its first major renovation and building cycle since its opening in 1983. The excitement of what is to be will be tempered this year with the inconvenience of construction this season.

With most of Allen E. Paulson Stadium serving as a construction zone for the 2013 football season, the Georgia Southern Athletic Department is providing this guide and the attached map online at and at the ticket window on game days to help fans find their way in and around the stadium.

The map shows the location of all open gates, the marketing tailgate zone, Eagle Fun Zone, stadium landmarks, radio network tent, Flight program sales and ticket booth.

Due to the construction, fans are encouraged to enter the stadium earlier. Their will be an increased foot traffic near the open gates due to their close proximity and fans need to plan on allowing more time for entering the stadium.

Construction Zone
Fans will be unable to easily walk from one side of the stadium to the other and will need to enter the correct gate in order to access their seats. Nearly all of the area behind the visitor side concession stands and restrooms as well as the area behind the brick facade in the new Football Operations Center endzone is a construction zone and closed to fans.

Closed Gates
Gate 2, which is nearest the Cowert Building on Lanier Drive, will be closed all season. Fans that used Gate 2 in the past will find Gate 3, located behind the press box, to be the closest gate.

Student Gates
Gates 1 and 7 will be student-only gates. Gate 1 is located near the intersection of Lanier Drive and Chandler Road while Gate 7 is located near the bus turnaround near Malecki Drive.

General Fan Gates
Gate 3, 4, 4A and 6 are open to general fans for the 2013 season. Gate 3 is the only one of these gates not located near the Bishop Field House endzone and can be found directly behind the press box. Gates 4 and 4A will allow entrance for those fans sitting on the home side while Gate 6 will allow entrance to the visitor side of the stadium.

Bishop Club Entrance
Fans seating in the newly opened Bishop Club can enter Gate 5 for easy access to their seats. Gate 5 is located directly behind the Erk Russell Statue and is the quickest route to the Bishop Club.

Grass Seating and General Admission Tickets
Due to the construction and expansion of the north side of the stadium, there will be very little grass seating available this season. Because of this there will be a limited about of General Admission tickets available this year. Section I will be sold as a reserved section this season to help accommodate single game ticket holders. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS.
