Pittsburgh, PA.--
Ian Snell limited Atlanta to two runs over
seven innings, and Freddy Sanchez drove in three runs to lead the
Pittsburgh Pirates to a 13-to-2 victory, snapping the Braves'
five-game winning streak.
The 13 runs and 18 hits were season highs for the Pirates, who
scored as many as six runs only five times in their first 35 games
and previously hadn't scored more than seven.
Pittsburgh chased Anthony Lerew from his second major league
start in the fourth inning while opening a 5-to-0 lead. He's
0-and-1 on the season.
