Freshmen running back steals the show in USC's spring game

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Freshman Jarvis Giles ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns as the Garnet squad topped the Black squad during South Carolina's annual spring game.

The Garnet squad's Joe Hills was the game's top receiver Saturday, with five catches for 75 yards as Garnet topped Black 30-14.

Playing for the Garnet team in the first half and the Black team in the second, Stephen Garcia finished the day 13-of-20 for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Reggie Bowens led the Black team in defensive tackles, with eight, including six solo and one sack for a three-yard loss. Josh Dickerson paced the Garnet squad with six tackles, including a sack.
