COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina defensive back C.C. Whitlock has been suspended indefinitely by coach Steve Spurrier.
Whitlock is a sophomore from Chester who played in nine games last fall. He figured to contend for a starting spot on this fall's team, but he has missed the past two practices.
Spurrier says Whitlock is having trouble adhering to team requirements, but didn't provide details. Spurrier made the announcement after Thursday's practice.
Earlier this month, Spurrier suspended starting defensive lineman Ladi Ajiboye after he was arrested and charged with marijuana possession. Ajiboye was accepted into a court-order diversion program on the drug charge earlier this week.
Spurrier said he's not sure if either player would have their suspensions lifted.
