FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas secondary coach Lorenzo Ward is leaving the Razorbacks, to join the staff at South Carolina.
Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino released a statement Monday confirming that Ward was leaving, although the statement didn't say where he was headed.
"Lorenzo Ward has left our football staff to take a coaching position at another institution," Petrino said. "We appreciate the hard work and efforts Lorenzo gave to the Arkansas football program in his tenure."
The Post and Courier of Charleston, S.C., reported on its Web site Monday that Ward would become part of the Gamecocks' staff. "I'll be the defensive coordinator," Ward told the paper.
