Clemson's Spiller Earns ACC Weekly Honor

Monday, November 3, 2008. (AP) -- Clemson's C.J. Spiller and Thomas Austin earned weekly honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference after leading the Tigers past Boston College over the weekend.

Spiller was named the league's offensive back of the week after tallying six catches for 105 yards, 55 yards rushing and a 64-yard kickoff return. Austin was offensive lineman of the week.

Wake Forest had three winners. Boo Robinson shared defensive lineman honors with Georgia Tech's Michael Johnson, while Alphonso Smith was named defensive back of the week after snagging the interception in overtime to beat Duke. Placekicker Shane Popham was named top specialist.

Miami quarterback Jacory Harris was named top rookie after leading the Hurricanes past Virginia on the road.
