CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Tommy Bowden starts his 10th season at
Clemson still looking for a championship. The Tigers coach knows that not too many people get that chance in the quick-to-fire world of college football these days.

Bowden says he's appreciative of his administration's patience
and is glad they share the same vision of building the program. This may be the year Bowden stops answering questions about when
he'll win. The Tigers are No. 9 in the country and picked as the
preseason favorites to win the Atlantic Coast Conference. Clemson starts the season Saturday night against 24th-ranked Alabama. The game is being played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
