Friday, August 15, 2008 (AP) -- Georgia Tech quarterback Josh Nesbitt is expected to miss Saturday's scrimmage with a bruised shoulder. Nesbitt, who suffered the injury on Wednesday, also missed Friday's practice.
Nesbitt, a sophomore expected to win the starting job, and senior offensive tackle Andrew Gardner, who also missed Friday's practice with an injury, are not considered to be in danger of missing the team's Aug. 28 opener against Jacksonville State.
Georgia Tech practiced for two hours on Friday morning and then canceled a planned afternoon workout.
The Yellow Jackets' two-hour scrimmage Saturday morning at Bobby Dodd Stadium will be open to the public. Beginning Monday, all practices will be closed.
