ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Braves activated left-hander Tom
Glavine from the disabled list to start Thursday night's game
against the Chicago Cubs.
The team optioned rookie left-hander Francisley Bueno to
Triple-A Richmond. Bueno was sent back to Richmond one day after giving up five hits and two runs in 2 1-3 innings in his major league debut in Wednesday's first game of a doubleheader. He was ejected after throwing a pitch behind Alfonso Soriano's head. Glavine, returning from a left elbow strain, is scheduled to make his first start since June 10. He is 2-3 with a 3.85 ERA.
