FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -- The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to
terms on four-year contracts with two third-round picks, cornerback
Chevis Jackson and safety Thomas DeCoud. Terms were not disclosed on Tuesday.
Jackson (5-11, 185) started 40 games at Louisiana State and had
142 tackles, eight interceptions, 36 passes defensed, one forced
fumble and one fumble recovery.
DeCoud (6-0, 197) started 45 games at California. He recorded
198 career tackles with one sack, one interception, seven passes
defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. The Falcons also released former Georgia Tech tight end George Cooper, who spent the 2007 season on the team's practice squad.
