COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Coastal Carolina and South Carolina are the only teams from the Palmetto State in this year's NCAA baseball tournament.
Coastal Carolina will host its regional as the top seed, taking on fourth seed Columbia from the Ivy league in the opening game.
The other teams in this weekend's double-elimination regional are second-seeded East Carolina and third-seed Alabama.
South Carolina will head to Raleigh, N.C., for its regional. The second-seeded Gamecocks open with third-seeded Charlotte, while top-seeded North Carolina State plays James Madison in the double-elimination regional.
Clemson did not make this year's tournament, breaking a 21-year streak of making the postseason. The Tigers finish the year 31-27-1.
