COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Joe Crawford had a career-high 35 points as Kentucky continued its late charge for a bid to the NCAA tournament with a 71-63 victory over South Carolina tonight.
The Wildcats have won ten of their last 12 after starting the season 7-9.
Kentucky led by 16 points with just over nine minutes to go, but the Gamecocks rallied and trailed by five with 3:52 left in the game.
Ramel Bradley hit a three-pointer, then broke free for a layup to restore control for Kentucky.
Zam Fredrick led the Gamecocks with 19 points. South Carolina honored retiring coach Dave Odom with a video tribute before his final home game.
Bradley added 20 points for the Wildcats, who finish the regular season at home against defending national champion Florida.
