COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Kyle Enders' two-run bases loaded single
in the bottom of the 11th inning completed South Carolina's 7-6
come-from-behind win over East Carolina today. The Gamecocks (2-1) split the three-game series with the Pirates (1-2).
Reliever Sam Dyson pitched the last out to pick up the win. Josh Ruhlman loaded the bases before giving up Enders' game-winning single to take the loss. Drew Schieber hit a two-run homer in the second and Ryan Wood a solo shot in the third to put the Pirates up 3-0.
Whit Merrifield had a two-run homer in the fourth and Justin
Smoak hit one in the seventh to give South Carolina took its first
lead at 5-4. The Pirates tied the game in the ninth retook the lead in the
top of the 11th before the Gamecocks rallied.
