CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Wilson Boyd hit two home runs in one inning
to lead Clemson's decisive nine-run third inning as the Tigers beat
Mercer 10-3 today and completed a three-game sweep.
Starter Graham Stoneburner gave up just three hits and no runs
to pick up the win for Clemson. Boyd finished 2-for-4 with two
homers and four RBIs. Freshman John Nester got his first career
home run in the seventh -- a two-out, solo shot to left-center.
John Dortch was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Bears (0-3).
Starter John Hoelzer gave up nine runs on 10 hits to take the loss.
