TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Toney Douglas scored 23 points and Jason Rich added 22 to lead Florida State to a 64-55 win over Clemson tonight.
The loss knocks the Tigers out of third place in the Atlantic Coast Conference and stalls talk about Clemson making its first NCAA tournament since 1998.
The Tigers came into the game shooting an ACC best 40 percent on three-pointers, but made just three if 27 shots behind the arc against the Seminoles. They shot just 30 percent overall from the field and made just 12 of their 23 free throws.
Clemson never led and didn't get any closer than four points down in the second half.
Cliff Hammonds led the Tigers with 13 points, while Trevor Booker added 12 points.
