ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Braves have made a three-player trade
with Tampa Bay sending troubled infielder Willy Aybar to the Rays. Tampa Bay also gets minor league infielder Chase Fontaine from Atlanta while left-hander Jeff Ridgway goes to the Braves. The 24-year-old Aybar was expected to be a key backup for Atlanta last season, but he injured his right hand, reportedly battled substance
abuse problems and wound up missing the entire year.
