Thomson, Ga--They are the highest scoring team in the state of Georgia and the points Thomson is putting up this year, is kind of scary to be honest with you. What's even more scarier, most of the points are in the first half. One big cog in that machine is our player of the week, quarterback Josh Jones.
His numbers keep getting bigger and bigger it seems and this week he accounted for five touchdowns. Three through the air, and 185 yards passing, and two on the ground, on two carries and 61 yards. He's become a complete player and is well aware it's about team first.
"It just worked out how we worked out at practice." said Josh Jones "We had good hard week at practice and repetition and the things just felt good in the game. The offense is starting to click in the new system and we're all getting use to it and it's beginning to flow with us."
"Of course he's not a state guy" said coach Milan Turner "He sees it and that's great and its like icing on the cake. He's a team player and he just goes out there every Friday night and sells out for his teammates and he's reaping the benefits of that."
What might be more amazing, Jones is only playing about 25 to 30 offensive plays a game. Imagine what the numbers would be otherwise. For his efforts, we honor Thomson's Josh Jones as our Operation Football Live player of the week.
