One of the more intriguing match ups in the playoffs this week comes in North Augusta as they square off with JL Mann. For eight years, Brian Strickland was offensive coordinator for the Yellow Jackets. This year he's now head coach of the Patriots.
Strickland obviously coached with Dan Pippin and pretty much ran the offense for North Augusta. Now, he'll be on the opposing sideline for the first time. Not an easy game for either guys seeing their best friends
"Brian and I have been talking back and forth all week and I'm not going to lie and say it's not difficult" said Dan Pippin "Our families are friends. Brian helped me out a lot when we came in and I don't think we'd be in the position we are without Brian."
I was actually joking with Strickland earlier in the week he may need directions to the locker room and opposing sidelines for Friday's game. This isn't the first time Pippin has taken on a former assistant Jeremy West at South Aiken is in the same boat.
