New coach at Butler hopes to continue winning attitude

Augusta, Ga--No team has had a more dramatic turnaround in the past three seasons then the Butler Bulldogs. Now, with a new coach, the dogs are hoping to keep the winning tradition going.

Myron Newton steps in to run the program for the departed Ashley Harden and boy does he bring energy. Everyone feels it and gets a positive vibe. With the can-do attitude and kids flying all over the field, this team is very upbeat for the season

"We got to be very aggressive" said new coach Myron Newton. "We got a lot of speed, and have speed at different spots. Being aggressive and be consistant and not beat ourselves. We can't turn the ball over, we're young so the mistakes are going to be there because they have to get the experience under the lights but at the same time and if we can be disciplined, be aggressive, we'll be good."

"Just work hard" added Ronald Jones "That's it, just work hard. We got everything to be successfull, just work hard."

Sanquez Doby played defensive end last year, this year, he'll take the snaps and Butler may become a passing team. They don't have Jeff Menefee and Christan Garnett to carry the load so this may become air Butler so to speak.

"This year I think we'll throw the ball more" said Sanquez Doby "Last year we had big running backs so we could run the ball on everybody. This year we don't have that big of running backs so I guess we're going to throw the ball more."

While some expect a major drop off in the wins category, remember, the kids on this roster, aren't use to that and have no intention on letting it happen again.
