Martinez, GA--We've hit the home stretch on the high school front and if an Evans-Lakeside rivalry wasn't big enough, throw in the fact the winner makes the region playoffs, the loser does not.

That's the situation with the new playoff system as this becomes a play in game. Evans has shown a little more consistency while Lakeside has been close, but not close enough in a few too many ballgames this year.

"We tell our kids all the time, we're one play away." said Lakeside coach Jarrett Troxler "Shoot we're one play away in three games. Lost to Thomson by a field goal, lost to Statesboro by a field goal, lost to Effingham on a fade route in the end zone. One play makes a difference at some point in the game."

Now if Evans wins and Greebrier beats Statesboro,
the Pack and Knights grab the spots in the region play in contest. Greenbrier would be the two seed, Evans the three seed. It's getting interesting to say the least.
