Ask many around the Josey football program and they'll tell you, buying into the team concept has been a problem in years gone by. This year, things seem to be headed in the right direction.
While the Eagles picked up just four wins, at times late in the year they showed moments of brilliance, namely in their upset win over Laney. This year, a few more upsets may be in the cards. Plenty of experience returns including quarterback Brandon Brown who's now been in the system for three years
"I'm real comfortable running the offense since I've been here four years so I feel comfortable" said quarterback Brandon Brown "This year we just have to play all four quarters hard every game and hopefully we'll come out with a win."
"Brandon (Brown) did a great job last year and we want to improve on what we did last year" said coach Barney Chavous "From an offensive standpoint I think we should be alright."
Josey also has some experience up front, but is lacking a bit on defense in the depth department. So controling the ball could go a long way. But it usually boils down to is teamwork.
"Everybody's working like a family, no more bull. Cut things short, work hard in the weight room, come out on the field and do great." said senior Richard Jackson
Josey opnes the season against Statesboro.
