Augusta, Ga--It has been four plus long years of misery for the Butler Bulldogs having not won a game in that length of time. This year, no reason at all butler shouldn't win a few games.
The attitude is definitely different this time around. With second year head coach Ashley Harden providing the stability at the top, the bulldogs are looking at a much brighter future. They have eight starters back on offense and a handful back on defense, now it's not a matter of will they win a game, it's matter of when.
"There were two or three games that we felt we should have had" said coach Ashley Harden "We thought that mentally we kind of broke down towards the end and that was our thing in the off season. Not only getting physically stronger, but getting mentally stronger also and they bought into that. We expect big things. Nobody rises to low expectations and so yea, it's real important to get that first win and then everything else can kind of be downhill from there."
Running back Jeffrey Menefee leads the offensive attack and provides stability in the backfield. A number of other seniors will also be counted on a great deal to give Butler that elusive win, which should come this year.
