Warren County and Hancock Central High Schools will play each other in football Friday night for the first time since a fight after last year's game.
The past year and a half has been anything but pretty for the Harlem Bulldogs. 13 games without a win. But now the drought is over and part of the reason for the win is our Acadmey Sports and Outdoors player of the week.

Big games are made for big players and while Burke County's Donquell Green isn't the biggest in stature, he certainly has become the captain of the Burke County ship. This past Friday night, Green and the Bears struck gold earning him our Academy Sports and Outdoors player of the week.

It seems to be the year of the running backs in the CSRA. Usually 200 yard games are really good and now the bar has been raised with guys going for 300. The latest, Chris Jordan from Thomson, is our Acadmey Sports and Outdoors player of the week.
When you think Laney football, one name should come to mind, that of David Dupree. Today, the legendary coach died at the age of 88.
We're now a few weeks into the high school season and a few surprises are starting to dot the landscape of the CSRA. One of them, still a work in progress, but the Westminster Wildcats.

There was a reason Evans coach Marty Jackson was smiling at the start of the season. He has some play makers with the Knights, specifically in the backfield. Thursday against ARC, Ronnie Graham proved to be the feature back and what a show he put on.

It doesn't matter if you're playing junior high, eight man football or 11 man, if you run for over 200 yards, you've had a great game. For Malik Lee of Wardlaw Academy, he set the bar even higher, thus earning our Acadmey Sports and Outdoors player of the week.
