Last season Silver Bluff was left for dead with a three and three record. But when it was all said and done, the Bulldogs were in the lower state championship game. With plenty of experience back, look for the Dogs to possibly do it again.
It'll all start up front with Silver Bluff. Five of six offensive linemen return and most of them will still be underclassmen. They were forced to grow up quickly last year with a slew of injuries but the young kids came up big. Now they fully expect to carry the momentum into the new season.
"I mean we had to go through a lot of adversity" said James Jacks "I think we really grew up as a team last year. I think it's just going to make us better this year."
"We worked hard, we worked really hard this summer and in the off season" said coach Al Lown "So that I think has made more of a difference coming up now then the playing time they got. So they're excited about everything"
Of course they do have to replace Mr. Everything Cordrea Tankersly and coach Lown says you don't replace one of the top athletes he's ever had. But Lown did say they had one of their best off seasons which leads to the high hopes this year
