North Augusta names new football coach

North Augusta, SC--North Augusta has named Robert Bryan Thomas as their new football coach as he replaces Dan Pippin with the Yellow Jackets.

Thomas has also been named new athletic director. Thomas is currently a social studies teacher and head football coach at Northern Guilford High School located in Guilford County School District, North Carolina. The North Augusta High position was vacant after Dan Pippin took over as athletic director at Greenwood High School last month.

He was head coach at Northern Gilford High School for one year, previous to that, was defensive coordinator for the team that won three state championships in North Carolina in Class 2A

"I am pleased to announce that Mr. Brian Thomas has been selected to serve as the next Head Football Coach and Athletic Director for North Augusta High School. Mr. Thomas will be joining the North Augusta High School family on April 28 where his accomplishments and experiences are sure to continue our tradition of excellence." states John Murphy, North Augusta High School Principal

Mr. Thomas will also serve as a social studies teacher at North Augusta High.

Brian Thomas states, "I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead the North Augusta High School football and athletic program. My goal is to continue the success of the program and grow it even further."
