Augusta, Ga--It's a changing of the guard at Josey with alum and former NFL player Raleigh Roundtree taking the helm. With an average of under three wins a year the last ten seasons, it was time to shake it up, and Roundtree hopes to do just that.

One of the biggest problems in changing a culture of losing is just getting the kids to come out and play. The new coach helps that some with his pedigree. Being in the NFL brings a buzz to the program, and the numbers are higher than they have been in years. Now, it's time for those players to put the work in if Josey wants to be a winner.

"Participation is a big thing because kids want to be part of a winner, but a lot of kids don't want to do what it takes to win, so with these kids coming out and showing the dedication they have, I think we can turn this program around."

"You know, it's just something a little newer. We're working a lot harder, preparing a little more and sticking together. Everybody's just trying to give it a little more effort and make it happen."

Coach Roundtree isn't the only former NFL guy trying to help turn the tide for the Eagles' program. Now retired Super Bowl winner Deon Grant stopped in the other day to help out at practice. Of course, he won a state title at Josey in 1995.
