Bamberg, SC -- The line of talented linemen coming out of Bamberg-Ehrhardt just gets more impressive each year.
With the likes of Tampa Bay's Da'Quan Bowers, South Carolina's A.J. Cann and now Martin Aiken and David Deleon moving on to division one ball, the list continues to grow, but what's left?
To hear it from the Red Raiders, filling the shoes of Aiken and Deleon won't be easy, but it's going to get done.
It's a small team with big goals, and these guys approach it the right way. When one star steps out, the next in line isn't trying to fill those shoes. He's ready to make his own mark and carry this team to an even higher level.
Head Coach Kevin Crosby said, "Those guys that play behind them now are ready to step in and fill their shoes. It may take one or two to fill them, but those guys that are there to fill that spot, they're ready to step up."
Senior linemen Larry Cann, A.J. Cann's cousin, added, "It's a challenge, but it's also kind of fun because you can try to make your name even better than what their name is. You can get even more experience in because I was working with them, and they taught me a lot."
It's going to be a new challenge for the Red Raiders this year, moving from Class A up to Class AA.
That gives Augustans more of a chance to check them out too. They'll make trips to Silver Bluff, Barnwell and Blackville-Hilda in 2012.
