Harlem, Ga--The past year and a half has been anything but pretty for the Harlem Bulldogs. 13 games without a win. But now the drought is over and part of the reason for the win is our Acadmey Sports and Outdoors player of the week.
Dontel Frails is only a sophomore but the bulldogs have put a lot on his shoulders. Friday night, he delievered. 24 carries, 151 yards and four hard earned touchdowns. For a program needing a win in the worst way, this performance came at the perfect time. Frails is still developing as a back but is quickly maturing into a force to be reckon with
"I mean, I just feel like I had to step up for my team" said Dontel Frails "We had a tough season last year but our whole team is working hard, especially our offensive line opening up holes so I put all my faith in my offensive line"
"Dontel ran tough, he ran harder then I've seen him run in a long time" said coach Jimmie Lewis "He was smelling it early in the ballgame and he just ran hard. He ran as good as good as I could ever ask a back to run."
Frails had no idea on the game he had until afterwards and was still more happy with the win than the personal accolades.
