If you want an historically dominant football program in the CSRA, plenty come to mind. But you won't go far before you get to ECI.

They already had a state title and runner-up in the last decade, but this year starts with the trophy case a little more full.

The Bulldogs finished last season with a blowout win in the state championship, the first title under third year Head Coach Chris Kearson.

The biggest holes to fill are left by three-year quarterback Caleb Pressey and star running back Greg Purcell, but leave no doubt.

This team is absolutely stacked, and they're not even considering being complacent during their title defense.

"I don't think they'll allow themselves to be complacent, and these coaches won't allow them," Kearson said. "If we feel we're having a sub par practice or a 5-5 practice, we'll turn up the heat on them and they know that. They understand that. When the coaches start turning up the heat, they respond."

Senior center Jarret Henry added, "We will not get complacent. We come out here and we work hard every single day, and we know everyone's shooting for us, and we're going back this year."

The Bulldogs will be tested early. They open the season against Metter at Georgia Southern's Paulson Stadium before the grudge match at home against Washington County in week three.
