Millen, Ga--One of the more intriguing teams we may want to keep an eye on this year is Jenkins County. It's been a while since they've been on the map with wins and losses but they're on the map this year with three division one prospects.
Jonathan Taylor and James Deloach have already committed to Georgia and Levantay Evans has an offer from Florida State on the table creating quite the buzz around the Eagles next. With those three guys, a new coach in Charlie Waters, and a new spread offense, big things are expected. Can bring with it more pressure so these guys have to be focused more then ever.
"For the last couple of years we were lacking in leadership and discipline." said Levontay Evans "I'd say that we didn't know how to win as a team. We had the good athletes and the good coaches, we just weren't mentally tough."
"People look at them and they expect us, when we have those type kids on a Class A team, they expect us to do well." said coach Chuck Conley "With that comes that responsibility for them. But they also have to get their teammates involved."
Now coach Waters also the kids attitude will be the determining factor. The new offense may open some holes but if the kids don't grasp the system and focus at the task at hand, the results won't be much different then the past.
