Butler regaining the winning attitude

Thursday August 29, 2013

Augusta, Ga--Time to catch up with the Bulldogs of Butler. Myron Newton is now in his second year as head coach and believes the kids have now bought into his system.

They knew there would be a few growing pains seeing they had a lot of seniors. Now, they have a pretty young team and are realizing the new system is working. Sandrez Evans will be in his second year at quarterback and is a lot more comfortable and hopes they can more points on the board, something they didn't do a lot of last year.

"It's going to be real important, to win more games this year. I think I'm better experienced this year" said Sandrez Evans

"To get the kids to understand what a program is about" said Myron Newton "You know weights never stop, training never stops, we got to get 1000 reps at every play so they're understanding that and they're buying into it and they're seeing themselves turn the corner for me and that's exciting for me."

Newton feels like he has some talent to work with and says these kids know how to win, they just have to go out and do it. Bulldogs play in a tough region and will be tested right away hosting Laney friday night.
