Martinez, Ga--Over the next month we'll be crowning football state title winners and up first, it could be a first, Augusta Prep playing for the title in the Glory Christ League this weekend.
It's been a remarkable season for the Cavaliers who have just a single loss on the ledger, that to Westminster. Otherwise, the ground attack of the Cavaliers have been rolling right along to one impressive win after another. Nate Pylant and Nolan Brandon have been a formidable combination who are trying to cap off their careers with a championship.
"Especially the seniors, Nate (Pylant) and I have been thinking about it, we've done over 250 practices total and we have three left" said Nolan Brandon "So we have all the energy in the world and ready to finish this season out with a win."
"I told them it's been a long journey and we're getting to the end and we know this is the last week" said Harry Batcheller "We've always wondered when the last week will be. Just told them to soak it all in, breathe the fall air, see the leaves that are turning and enjoy this last week and have a blast with it."
Prep will take on John's Ferry for the title in Atlanta Saturday afternoon. They knew this year could be special and now trying to finish things off with a title.
