Coco Hillary made headlines helping his Appalachain State Mountaineers to one of the biggest upsets ever when they beat then 5th ranked Michigan earlier this season. Just when the Hillary's thought the season couldn't get any crazier, younger brother Aramis comes through with some big news of his own.
The Strom Thurmond Rebels starting quarterback was pulled out of class today to take a call. On the other end of the line, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier. The head ball coach offered Hillary a full ride to USC and a chance to someday play quarterback for the Gamecocks.
Hillary impressed the coaches during some summer camps much like he impressed football fans across our area when he threw for 1,700 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, his first as a starter. The year before, he starred at wide reciever on the Rebels state title team, catching passes from CoCo. National signing day isn't until February but Hillary says he doesn't need to take any other visits, he wants to be a Gamecock.
