LANGLEY, SC----"He's a little stronger, a little more experienced but we've always known he had that kind of talent," said Midland Valley head coach Rick Knight.

He is talking about Mustang running back Jesse Scott and talent alone doesn't account for what he did Friday night. The junior was virtually unstoppable against Keenan in the Mustang's first game of the season.
He racked up 4 touchdowns in the game, including a 93 yard sprint and a 42 yard catch. His 165 yards on the ground helped Midland Valley to a 1-0 start and established his place as a star on this year's team. Something he has been working hard for.

Scott explains, "Practicing alot and getting faster over the summertime. It's just helped me out this year."

Scott is also a star on the Midland Valley track team and his speed was on display Friday night, earning him a t-shirt from Communigraphics in North Augusta and making him the first Player of the Week for the 2007 season.
