Augusta, Ga--We all know cal ripken is the iron man of baseball. But in football terms, an iron man could be refered to someone who plays on both sides of the ball. That makes Curtis Baptist, the "iron" team.
You see, they have a dozen players. Yea,12. When you start 11 that means everyone's playing both ways. Crusader coach Bryan Wilson isn't feeling sorry for himself or the team for that matter. He just knows they have to out work everybody.
"Patience really is the key and i really think these 12 kids will be the hardest workers in the area, they're going to have to be." Bryan Wilson said. "And i think you'll see a lot of surprising things out of them."
,"We just have to work hard and play every down like it's our last, that's all we can do right now." said running back Deion Jones.
"We run hard after practice, so when we're tired we can have conditioning so when we get tired in a game it won't bother us that much."
Only five players return this year and freshman Cameron Mcconnell takes over the quarterback role from his brother. Coach Wilson also feels they can eclipse the three win mark, which is most in school history.
