MCCORMICK, S.C.---Most coaches will tell you they want to get better every day. For McCormick coach Art Mann, that's no different. The big difference is the program has gotten better each year.
From no wins three years ago, to a 3-1 region mark last fall, the Chiefs have made great strides on the field. A lot of that can be contributed to team unity that really developed last year. The leader of the Chiefs, four year speedster Jerel Franklin says, "I have to keep everybody straight and make sure everybody works hard through every drill and hit hard with everything you got, give it you all."
Thaddeus Simmons says, "Working hard and practicing hard and no complaining, just doing it."
While Franklin will undoubtedly garner plenty of attetion, coach Mann expects others to step up their game. With a different attitude, he feels they can build off of last season. McCormick opens on the 24th against Great Falls.
