Waynesboro, Ga--Every football team wants to have that go-to guy. That player they can always count on for the big play that can change a game. Burke County has that player. His name is Terrell Brigham and he's our operation football live, McDonalds player of the week.
Brigham has been a star for the Bears for a couple years and last week, the senior quarterback showed why he's one of the best around. Against a 5-A school in Brunswick, Brigham ran for a touchdown and threw for three more, totaling more than 320 yards in the process. And while his play on the field has been great, it's been off the field that coach Eric Parker has really seen Brigham grow this season.
"I think he's doing a great job in the locker room being a leader," said head coach Eric Parker. "He's really getting behind one of our younger kids and even some of the other seniors and just really trying to get them to play at a level he knows it's going to take to be successful."
"I try to help and lead the young guys because I know we have a lot of young guys," said Brigham. "I just tell them they've got to step up to get playing time."
Brigham is already getting looks from the likes of South Carolina and Georgia tech but won't make any decisions until after the season, as he tries to lead the bears to a state championship.
But for his four touchdown performance last week, Terrell Brigham is our Operation Football Live and McDonalds player of the week
