Grovetown, Ga--Sometimes it's not easy finding an Operation Football Live, McDonald's Player of the Week. This week was certainly the case. So many worthy candidates to pick from. Today though, we go with a guy who's being called upon to lead a new program, Grovetown's Seth Hill.
For the second straight week, the Warrior senior hit the 200 yard mark on the ground and also scored three times, including Grovetown's first ever home touchdown, a moment a lot of folks will remember. What really stands out for the former Harlem back, is not only his leadership on and off the field, but his work ethic. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who can match it.
"The kid, he was an animal. I mean he did 40 something workouts this summer when we asked him to get 27." said coach Rodney Holder "He blew it up, he was right there pulling those guys along. With our young running backs, you see him every day in drills, he pushes them, he doesn't take it easy on them, but he does it the right way and he's making them better, no doubt."
"I was just lifting and after practice I was running a lot, just trying to put on a couple of more pounds, get my speed higher a little bit and everything. I feel like I can break a few more arm tackles and everything so I put on a little more weight." said Seth Hill
Coach Holder says Hill is getting the job done in the classroom as well and he has a couple of offers on the table to play college ball at The Citadel and Wofford. But for his efforts in Grovetown's first home game, we give Seth Hill our Operation Football Live, McDonald's player of the week award.
