Sandersville, Ga--It was a year to remember for the Brentwood Eagles last season. The team tallied eight wins, earned a playoff berth, and came within one point of the state semifinals. This season, they hope to replicate that performance and more.

If the Eagles plan on doing that, they'll have to do it with less players and younger players than last year. The Eagles have less than 30 players on the roster this year and graduated nine seniors from last year's squad. But the Eagles aren't too worried about that. They're focusing on building off last year's great season and winning ballgames

"If we stay healthy, that's not out of the realm of possibility." said coach Bert Brown "We have some athletic kids at our skill positions. If we stay relatively injury free, then that's a hopeful situation there."

"Just have to come out here and lead every day." said quarterback Nick Burgamy "We can't have any let downs by the younger guys. I take myself and all the other seniors and we have to lead and go on from there."

Senior Nick Burgamy will lead the Brentwood offense for the third year in a row. Behind him will be Evan Wiggins and Damon Evans at fullback and tailback, who both have the potential to put up some big numbers this year on the ground.
