ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Quinten Singleton scored twice in the
final six minutes to lead Scott's Branch to its first-ever state championship with a 14-6 victory over Williston-Elko in Class A Division II on Friday.

Singleton's first TD came from 4-yards out with 5:22 to go and tied the game at 6. Then on fourth-and-1, Singleton burst through the pack for a 34-yard touchdown run with 1:18 remaining for Scott's Branch (11-3).

Defensive back Johnny Williams made two big plays for the Eagles down the stretch. He recovered a Williston-Elko (12-2) fumble on the drive following Singleton's first touchdown run.
