Lincoln County Looks For Playoff Revenge

Thursday Nov 27, 2008
Lincolnton, Ga--Lincoln County head coach Larry Campbell might be the most straight forward coach out there. Last week his Red Devils survived the miscue bug to win 7-0 And if they do the same against Wilcox County Friday, it probably won't be pretty. But never underestimate Lincoln County.

All you have to do is look on the side of their press box to see the rich history and success. It wasn't by luck that's for sure. Red Devils also have a little more motivation, revenge. Last year the Red Devils jumped out to a big early lead only to see Wilcox rally and knock them out. That's still very fresh in their mind.

"It means a lot because we went up 24-6 last year and they came back and ran all over us so we're coming out here and having a good practice so we can do it this time and stay up all game." said senior Jafabian Green

"I hope the revenge factor." said coach Larry Campbell "We showed them the film this morning of last year's game. We got ahead of them 21-0 and still lost the football game and that's a pretty tough pill to swallow."

Wilcox County, just as impressive this year with a perfect record so the Red Devils will need to bring the A-game. Kick off 7:30 in Lincolnton.
