Waynesboro, Ga--If there ever is a time to play your best game of the season, it definitely is the playoffs. Well, that's the case for the Burke County and senior Bobby Burum, our Operation Football Live player of the week.

Burum made big plays on both sides of the ball for the Bears, including two touchdowns receptions and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Now, Burum has been a big play man for the Bears all season but head coach Eric Parker says he's really turned it on in the second half of the season

"The last couple of ballgames, he's just made big plays for us, on both sides of the ball, he's playing well and I think he's focused in and hopefully that will give us a chance, that mentality, to maybe keep playing a little bit longer." said coach Eric Parker

While Burum enjoys being a play maker for the Bears, even he admits it can be tiring being on the field for nearly every play.

"It's hard going both ways, conditioning-wise and strength-wise. It takes a toll but I just play." said Bobby Burum " Do what the coaches want me to do and just try my hardest."

You can bet Burke County will be counting on Burum again this Friday when they take on top ranked Cairo in the second round of the playoffs. But for his amazing performance in the first round, Bobby Burum is our Operation Football Live of the player of the week
