Augusta, Ga--Probably the biggest turn around of any high school team is the success of ARC. The Academy has returned to the tradition of years gone by. A big part of that turn around the play of quarterback Mar-Quon Medlock.
This past weekend was just the latest example of the year the junior signal caller has had. Medlock accounted for five of the Musketeers six touchdowns in their win over cross creek. This is nothing new. In all but one of their games, Medlock has either thrown for a touchdown or ran one in. They were shutout in the game he didn't score. This is a youngster who's playing with poise.
"Maq-Quon is a leader" said ARC coach Chris Hughes "He's not a leader with his words, he's a leader with his actions and every time he steps on the field we expect good things to happen."
"It wasn't really hard, I just had to keep coming and working harder and keep working hard every day" said Mar-Quon Medlock "It puts no pressure on me. I know if I throw them the ball, they're going to catch it."
This is Medlock's first year at quarterback for ARC and for his efforts this past week, we honor him as our Operation Football Live player of the week.
