Augusta, Ga--Its one of the more unique nicknames around, Tidy Johnson of North Augusta. On Friday night, his performance against Midland Valley was pretty tidy as well, thus he's our Operation Football Live player of the week.
All Johnson did was rush for 159 yards and score two touchdowns. Almost all of that came in the first half seeing he touched the ball a meger five times in the second half. Being the workhorse isn't new to Johnson and expect him to carry the load even more as the season goes on.
"We knew what he could do and we knew what our offensive line was capable of" said North Augusta coach Dan Pippin. "He's going to carry the ball a whole bunch all the time. I would say that's probably the least amount of carries he's going to get is the ones he got this week."
"I have a lot of responsibilities" said Tidy Johnson "I have a job to do and I have to accomplish it. Stay in shape, keep healthy and just keep doing what I'm doing."
Johnson isn't the biggest or fastest player around, but he has plenty of characteristics of a great back. According to coach Pippin, he falls forward, which very few have done while he's been a head coach.
