Briarwood Moving On From Past

It was a season to forget for the Briarwood Bucs. Just 3 wins and a team that was not in sync with its own head coach. But this year is much different.

This year, the Bucs are under the leadership of Josh Osborne. He was an assistant coach at Jefferson County last year and he hopes to bring that winning experience to Briarwood. So far, what happened in the past is staying there and this team is staying focused on the future. And for this team, that is a breath of fresh air.

"I say this a thousand times," says Osborne. "We're just trying to get better every day by the inch. If we can get an inch better everyday,w e know we're improving. we don't want to go backwards. we just want to get better."

"Everybody out here wants to play," says senior Cane Gilmer. "Last year, some of us didn't want to play as much as we do now and we work harder than we did last year cause we have new coaches and everybody likes coach Oz."

Briarwood will sport a new offense this season but there will be some old faces, as their quarterback and two runningbacks return to stablize the Bucs offense.
