McCormick, SC--They might not be the biggest or most talented team around but Mccormick has some pretty high expectations this year and hope to get things started on the right foot Friday night.
Once again, the Chiefs will have a new head coach with Frank Brown taking over the reins from the defense coordinator in the past. Despite losing one of the more talented atheltes around in Jerel Franklin, the Chiefs have a good group of playmakers coming back. That starts in the backfield with quarterback Tybias Williams who's proven he can run the show.
"For the team, we need to stay together" said senior Tybias Williams "We have a strong defense, we have an offense that can put some points on the board and we just have to stay like a family, like just one big family."
Williams has some good receivers to throw it out to as Mccormick will spread things out. Another thing in the positive column, the Chiefs won a couple of games late before dropping their playoff game. That was a start as they look to build towards a record Mccormick hasn't had in a number of years.
"It's been a long time since McCormick has had a winning record and our goal is to have a winning record" said first year head coach Frank Brown "You always want to compete for that region championship. If we play well and some of the young guys step up, we're hoping to be in that position."
