8 players on the field. It's not what you're used to seeing when you watch a football game. 8-man football is a faster game with the 11-man fundamentals and this season, Wardlaw is hoping to excel in it.
That's because this team is confident that the experience from the previous years will translate into victories. Players like Kevin Ginn and Steve Ballentine hope to bring back the glory of former Wardlaw teams. Many of the upperclassmen have played since freshman year meaning this team should be ready for anything that comes at them.
"Team unity and team leadership is essential for us," says senior Kevin Ginn. "And that's what we're focusing on as seniors."
"I think that we've improved over the the years and this is the year that I'm really hoping that these people who've played have got the experience to be ready to play for us," says head coach Hubert Morris. "Because they've taken their licks now for the past three years and I think we should be able to do a little bit better.
Wardlaw is hoping to improve on last season's 3 and 7 record.
