Petticoat Junction, SC--Gotta love Silver Bluff coach Al Lown, no nonsense, tell it like it is coach who's had a successfull run at the Bluff. This year, expect more wins then losses, as usual.
When you go eight and four with just five seniors on the team, that's a good thing. This year the Bulldogs have 12 seniors, not too hard to figure out what to expect. They also have plenty of game breakers and playmakers. Both Kendrick and Fredrick Garnett are back, Jamal Beal, along with linebacker Bradley Allen. The Garnett boys put up big numbers out of the backfield and should do it again. Big picture thinking, not to hard to figure out what the goal is
"There's no doubt about it, we want to play for a state championship, that's what we work for. We don't come out here just to show up, we're trying to win the state championship" said coach Al Lown "Everything we do is headed to that. The scrimmages we play, the tough non conference schedule which I must have lost my mind with some of the people we're playing this year. But everything we're trying to do is pointing towards winning a state championship."
That non region schedule will put them to the test. The likes of Aiken, South Aiken and Strom Thurmond will have this team more then ready for the region games.
